In the news today:

“World’s tallest tower lookout suddenly shuttered”

This was on the AP wire this morning. I couldn’t help but remember my predictions about what was previously call the Burj DuBai Building, and what is now known as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

On January 5, 2010 at 10:23 AM, I predicted the following:

  • Amoung other possibilities for the Burj DuBai Building is a rampaging electrical storm that will encircle, then topple the uppermost portion of the building
  • Tie rods – or something similar to tie rods, are not enough to protect the building from toppling
  • They did not take into consideration the sway as they should have, therefore the flexibility may not be enough to prevent this toppling
  • Time issue: could be in four…Watch the March/April winds and storms
  • The FLAW in the Burg Dubai Building MUST be discovered and dealt with…I’m available…
